Tsukuba Mountain

Tsukuba mountain has two peaks, Mt.Nantai(871m) and Mt.Nyotai(877m).
The mountain is located in Ibaraki and easy access from Tokyo.
You can take Tsukuba express from Akihabara to Tsukuba station. It takes only 45 minutes.
And then take local bus to Tsukuba shrine bus stop(40 minutes).

There are several hiking courses , also cable car and ropeway.. so we can choose the course according to our conditions.
You can start climb from the shrine to the peak, or take cable car to Sancho station(800m).
Let's start to walk! It takes 10 minutes to get Mt.Nantai peak from Sancho station.
Most people to go to Mt.Nyotai via small trail from Mt Nantai.
We can enjoy beautiful nice view.

Trails in the mountain are rocky and steep.
I saw some girls wore heeled shoes... if you decide not to walk, it's ok, take cable car and just take a look around cable car station.
Souvenir shop and small cafe or restaurants are available.
But if you want to walk, it's not comfortable. Maybe trekking boots are better.

Enjoy!
